Consultation Response To Ending Child Poverty
---
RAISE welcomes the Government consultation on Child Poverty, and applauds this ambitious pledge to eradicate child poverty by 2020 and we are pleased to see it is supported by a number of policies and initiatives to drive forward this national agenda. However the consultation sets out a strategy which includes establishing an ‘Expert Commission’ bringing together experienced individuals, we believe the Voluntary/Community Sector (VCS) must have major role in the new commission and in delivering the aims resulting from it.
