West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service will be asking for your views on its wide-ranging safety plan for the next 12 months. There is a consultation period that starts Monday 27th July for 12 weeks during which you can submit comments and questions directly to WSF&RS and will in turn receive a prompt response.
Max Hood, County Fire Officer, said: 'We are always geared to responding to emergencies but a main feature of the plan is helping people understand the inherent danger of fire in the home and at work and the dangers when out driving. This means we will continue to carry out a considerable amount of both educational and practical work to prevent such incidents occurring in the first place.'
When the consultation period starts the plans will be on the Fire and Rescue Service’s page on the West Sussex County Council website. Copies will also be available in your local Fire Station,Library and District and Borough Council offices during the consultation period.
Keep looking on the VOLG website for more details as the consultation begins.
