12/10/2009 Development Funding Officer Post for WS Association for Disabled People


The West Sussex Association for Disabled People are advertising the following post:


Development Funding Officer £23k pa. Goring by Sea

West Sussex Association for Disabled People (WSAD) is a small, active, disability charity seeking to expand its services to disabled people. We are seeking a Development Funding Officer who will work to grasp opportunities as they arise, as well as working on funding for projects WSAD has identified that it wishes to develop. The opportunities may arise from service contracts with statutory bodies or bids to grant funders. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an ability to spot potential projects and make attractive applications that secure the funding. Notification of tenders and specific grants is often with short time scales. You must be self motivated and able to work within these constraints.



Salary: £23,000 p.a. for 35 hour week with unpaid lunch breaks

Duration: Short term contract initially for 12 months

Holiday entitlement: 25 days p.a.



Role.

Identify development opportunities in both the Voluntary and Statutory Sectors.
Process and present tender applications for work in both sectors.
Develop partnership working with voluntary organisations to deliver joint projects.
Research appropriate grant funding and complete applications
Develop and build capacity and capability within WSAD to deliver services.


WSAD is happy to accept experience and knowledge gained through voluntary work and personal experience as well as paid employment if it is relevant to the job and the person specification.
