The Home Office has announced that registration with the vetting and barring scheme has been halted to allow the Government to review and remodel it. The scheme would have meant that staff and volunteers working with children and vulnerable adults would have to register with the Independent Safeguarding Authority. The Government will now review the plans and a new system will be put in place.
